Monday, August 26, 2013 - Dr. Pamela Owen, Paleontologist

This week we interview paleontologist Dr. Pamela Owen.  Dr. Owen is the Senior Biodiversity Educator at the Texas Natural Science Center at the University of Texas at Austin.  Pamela discussed the diversity of biology in Central Texas.  One of her discoveries includes the characterization of a badger skeleton in New Mexico, using high resolution X-Ray Computed Tomography.  Dr. Owen demonstrated a sample badger pelt and skeleton in the KVRX studio!  We heard about Dr. Owen's start as a student worker at the La Brea tarpits in Los Angeles, CA.
